An early learning program based in Omaha, Nebraska that prepares students to be as independent as possible when they enter Kindergarten. This program was developed by working directly with young children with Down syndrome to determine common issues and best practice for providing direct instruction.
New Mindset
When you start as early as 18 months old, give your child direct instruction and time to develop the skills needed to be potty trained, they can be fully potty trained at about the same age as their typically developing peers.
Value
If we raise the bar and provide the correct supports, kids with Down syndrome will rise up to not only reach but also exceed our expectations. With our program 90% of our students have entered Kindergarten fully potty trained. This tells us that kids with Down syndrome are capable when we change the approach to be one that is more supportive.
When teachers and parents collaborate for the good of an entire community, amazing things can happen.
